The LOK creators really missed out on making Mako and Bolin's grandma Jin (the girl who went on a date with Zuko in Tales of Ba Sing Se). Just imagine, they're talking and grandma casually mentions, "I went on a date with Firelord Zuko once." And they're all like, "Sure, Grandma," crusade she's old and obsessed with royals and kinda losing it. Simply then, at the Desert Spring Oasis, Grandma goes up to Zuko and is similar, "Remember when we were nigh to kiss and you gave me a coupon?"

hear me out, hear me out,

Ursa before she leaves she talks to her seriously and makes it clear to her of the monster that is her begetter. Until then, she has the aforementioned beliefs as in the original serial, merely when her mother talks to her well-nigh it she understands and accepts what is going on. When this happens she becomes very attached to Zuko and they were always together, until the meeting thing happened.

Imagine that happens the Agni Kai with Ozai and Zuko, in all the fight, Azula is outside the room trying to become in and stop the fight, but the guards won't let her in considering Ozai already knew her intentions.

When they send Zuko to look for the Avatar, she sends him messages everyday and each time she tries to perfect his firebending and then she tin protect him, and at the same time act like Ozai'due south perfect daughter to know his plans.

When they found eachother in Ba Sing Se, she tries to convince him with real words to come up back considering she knows Ozai is unsafe and she don't wanted Zuko to suffer anymore, even if it meant putting her own uncle in jail.

Her goal before was trying to go the Avatar only for Zuko, cuz she wanted him to exist back at home and take a normal life as before.

When "invasion" happens she understands that Zuko is not happy there and that he wants to aid the Avatar. She goes to find her uncle so she could release him simply when she gets in it was too late and he had already escaped. She follows Zuko to the temple when they found team Avatar and using the manipulation she learned, she and Zuko manage to enter to teach Aang firebending.

I can only imagine the office were Katara is almost to throw water at Zuko and before she does information technology Azula comes out of nowhere and gets in front of him, and instinctively throws burn at Katara, protecting him. --

Over time they begin to accept more confidence between each other and stop up being friends with the squad, with Azula and Suki being best friends, but there is still some discomfort between her and Katara.

Fact about this AU is that Azula sees Zuko as the only retentiveness of her mother and the time she was a bad kid and made her experience disappointed, with no fourth dimension to spend with her before she leaves. Simply with the time she offset seeing Zuko equally the way he is, her brother and her only family unit until now. Her protector.

Azula with everyone acts manipulative and in the same way equally in the series. Simply when it's with Zuko or someone who has confidence like Mai and Ty Lee, she softens up and acts normal, and affectionate. This is because since Zuko left, Ozai was raising her with the intention of putting things in her caput and making her a killing machine. Which didn't work, cuz she keeps her humanity with the people she love.

when information technology comes to canon beloved interests zuko had, i'm really upset the writers didn't exercise more with jin. not but is she adorable, she liked zuko And so much and i feel similar fifty-fifty on their appointment nosotros could see zuko beingness more like himself, more than comfortable with himself, even if he still had to go by li/lee and lie to jin nigh who he was. i experience like jin would've been such a light in zuko's dark and made him very happy and feel able to be himself. even when barely knowing her he lights all those lanterns for her, and in my opinion she knew he was a fire bender fifty-fifty when she airtight her eyes, and i don't call back she cared. he even went back to buss her when she kissed him. i like mai every bit a character, just i actually don't similar her with zuko— i think jin would've actually brought out the all-time in zuko, and i think he liked her a lot, just similar he said himself: "it's complicated."

tl;dr: i love jin and she seemed like she'd brand zuko very happy and i wish nosotros saw more of her

May I nowadays a head canon: after the state of war is over and Iroh is back in Ba Sing Se, he gives Jin a chore as a waitress in his shop. Cause she is pretty, liked and respected Zuko and loves tea! What more could Iroh want from a girl?

Iroh keeps hinting information technology to Zuko in his letters, just the poor fool doesn't sympathize them. Information technology gets real funny for Iroh when Zuko visits him and Jin works a shift :)

When Jin hears about the amazing new tea maker at the local Pao Family Tea Shop, she decides she merely has to check information technology out. What she gets is some delicious jasmine tea and a crush on the young waiter that works there.

I know nosotros talk well-nigh Jin finding out Lee/Li is Zuko/a firebender. That's fun only still kinda sometime.

Tin we talk about Jin finding out he's the Bluish Spirit and becoming his alibi??

Similar, maybe there'due south a customer who doesn't similar Zuko, and they immediately bespeak him out every bit a potential person who could be the Blueish Spirit. After all, the Blue Spirit had only but shown upwardly, when Zuko and his uncle arrived.

And Jin is there and she's similar, he couldn't be, he's my friend/boyfriend, the Blue Spirit tin can't exist Lee/Li. She would know because he's most always with her when he isn't working or being broody (to which Zuko says he isn't broody) or with his uncle.

And she pulls the, "I've lived here longer than him. You can trust ME," card. And some people are similar, yeah, you can trust Jin.

Someone says the Bluish Spirit and Lee/Li both use daos? Um, excuse you, accept you NOT seen the SCAR on his face? Yous think my friend/beau didn't just decide to learn to defend himself??? You retrieve everyone with daos is the Blue Spirit???

Someone finds Jin alone at night and thinks they got her because that's when the Blue Spirit strikes. And they hear, "Hi Lee/Li!" And they plow around, and there's Zuko, wearing the outfit he wore on his first date with Jin, pilus left alone this time. And Jin but waves to the person who thinks they caught Lee/Li every bit the Blue Spirit, before she walks over to Zuko and loudly talks well-nigh how she couldn't wait to have spend the nighttime with him, how she hoped this date would be simply as fun as the last.

Sometimes I wonder about how Zuko would accept a different life in eart kingdom. Very at-home, silent and a petty relax life, working in a tea shop, having a pretty normal healty life. I never shipped Zuko with Katara (they look really practiced but I probably didn't encounter them equally an option bc Aang was there too) or Mai (maybe a little flake Mai bc Zuko only shows his emotions with her we never see his side in the show but however someting is off). Honestly I liked that daughter from eart kingdom Jin. She was beautiful and patient and most likely empathise that Zuko is a firebender and still didn't say anyone. They were soo skilful in my eyes.
